Learning Observed:
Throughout Term 3, Seline was participating in a community swimming programme. Each week we took a bus to the Otara Leisure Centre where Seline and her group learned a variety of swimming techniques and water safety.
Seline is a competent swimmer, but through listening carefully to instructions from her swimming coach, she was able to show her capabilities and get feedback.
In one session, Seline joined in with the whole group to learning about water safety. She wore a life jacket and worked as a team to form a circle, then kick together to safety. These skills will be very important for Seline should she find herself in the water while out boating. Seline also learned how to do the ‘pin drop’ and roll backwards into the water from the side of the pool - all important life saving skills.
Each week, the 30 minute swimming experience went by very quickly and soon it was not long before all the learners were out of the pool and back on the bus, to OrmPS.

My Health Workshop Reflection
My Health Workshop Reflection
Today, we learnt about our health. The workshop was mainly focused on Personal Hygiene. We learnt that at our age we tend to start using deodorant. People have to use this so that they don't get body odour when you sweat. Another thing the teacher talked to us about is brushing our teeth 2 times a day morning and night. This can help to stop having bad breath. Other things you can use to help bad breath is to use mints. Washing hands was also another thing that the teacher taught us about. She said that we had to wash our hands before eating to stop you getting germs inside your body if you touched equipment other people touch. The last thing that the teacher taught us is to change and wash clothes, socks and underwear. We have to always have to wash the clothes, socks and underwear on our body so that it doesn't get too stinky. I am going to start washing my hands before eating food now. Thank you for checking out this post.

My Term 2 holiday!
My amazing holiday!
After Term 2 was done I was super excited for Term 3 and also do fun things on my holiday. In my holiday I went to watch 2 movies. Despicable me 3 and Spiderman: Homecoming. These movies were really great! I was really excited because I finally got to try American food like Pop-tarts, Cheetos and much more. My favourites out of all the snacks I bought were Cheetos, Goldfish, Pop-tarts and Chips Ahoy. I also got to go to Gravity which is a place where you get to jump and go on obstacle courses. My holiday was amazing and I hope your one was too.

CCD (Connected Community Day) reflection
Connected Community Day Reflection
This Thursday it was Connected Community Day I got to go to Mind Lab. Mind Lab is a place where children get to go and do some science experiments and it is in the city. This Connected Community Day's theme was Survival Sync where it teaches us to Survive if a Natural Disaster strikes. The activities that I did were Saltwater Battery where we got to mix some water with powders and put them in a cup with a piece of copper and a nail. Then we used a machine to test the watts of the battery. The highest I got was 0.84 watts. We also made a Hovercraft with a small motor I did this activity with Aditi.

I think when they promised it was fun it was fun and also they did a good job of teaching us.
EBI
If we had more time there and first thing we did was go to Mind Lab.

Science Roadshow Reflection
Science Roadshow Reflection
Last week on Friday I got to host/explain the Science Roadshow and help out. They also had other great learners and they are Raghav, Hannah, Helen,Gracy, Komal, Yuvika, Brian, Awaab, Lim Hor, Micah and Julian. The people showed us how to work exhibits and how to work. I looked at this situation as a way to be an intern at work. I had a great time on my first day of work and I am very proud of myself. Some the exhibit's are A Hover craft, Ball Piston, Jump, Biceps vs Triceps and Dinosaurs. My favourite exhibit's is Hover craft and Ball Piston. The Hover craft is like bumper cars. It is powered by a Leaf blower and we had to control it from the back and move them around. I had so much fun and I can't wait to see next year's Science Roadshow.
Thanks to the Science Roadshow for the logo and thanks for the name. Also the opportunity.

iExplore reflection
iExplore Refelection
My iExplore this term (Term 2) was about the Periodic Table and Oobleck. I did this iExplore with my friend Norah, we were so excited about this iExplore and I love it. The Periodic Table is a list of elements that is listed by the "atomic number". I would like to tell you more but I can't. (Later I might post me presenting the iExplore) Oobleck is made out of cornstarch and water. You can walk on Oobleck which means that you can walk on water now. Oobleck when you put pressure on it it is a solid but when you don't put pressure it is a liquid. I really like this iExplore I feel like it stands out from the rest of my iExplore's because I got to do fun things and I got to Collaborate with someone. This iExplore was fun and taught me a lot this bumped up my Curiosities and I can't wait for my next iExplore!

Literature circle reflection
Literature Circles Reflection
I will be talking about my "Literature circles". If you son't know what Literature circles are they are for kids and they have a role that you have to complete the by the end of the week. My book is called "Cool Nukes" by an interesting author called Des Hunt. It is really interesting and I recommend it. This week I currently have the role of Summariser, but there is Discussion director, Word master, Illustrator, Passage Picker and Connector. I think that literature circles are fun and exciting it teaches you a lot and encourages you to talk because you have to talk with your group. It also encourages you to read more books because people don't really read books anymore. My circle is going really well and I love it. Literature circles are fun and cool so I definitely recommend it you can discuss and do all sorts of rolls.

Fo Guang Shan temple refection
Fo Guang Shan temple
At my visit to the Fo Guang Shan temple we did some fun activities and we learnt a lot about Buddhism. My favourite part was making the Lotus flower and eating the delicious, soft brownies. I loved the amazing bell that they gave, if you say 3G and 4G it would spin. You could make a wish with the bell. I also liked learning about 3G and 4G. My visit at the temple was so #oresome and I recommend going there.

My Amazing Freakshake
I made a Freakshake for entering the Cereal Killa Cafe's competition. It was fun to make a Freakshake about my holiday. The memories inside my holiday were going blueberry picking, going to the movies and going to the beach. I really had fun and I learnt how to write rhetorical questions and descriptive paragraphs. My next steps are to work on making catchy slogans.
